『cococolor』は、社会的なテーマとして今後ますます重要視されていく、
ひとびとの多様性を価値として尊重する社会の形成に向けた取り組みとして、
電通ダイバーシティ・ラボ（DDL）が運営するWEBマガジンです。
知る・聞く・考える・参加する・楽しむという色んな視点で、
ダイバーシティをより身近なものに変えていくことを目指しています。

みんなで考えて、みんなで議論して、
みんなで社会を大きく前に進めるためのモノやコトが、ここから生まれていく。
そんな場にしたいと思っています。
個々の個性が描きだす、色とりどりの未来。さぁ、ここからはじめよう。

We must respect differences among us as examples of rich individuality. Doing so provides the key to a richly-diverse society. “cococolor*” is a web magazine created and run by the Dentsu Diversity Lab (DDL) to emphasize the growing importance of diversity as a social issue. The magazine focuses on initiatives to help create a society that greatly respects the value of individual diversity.We aim to familiarize our readers with diversity from a variety of perspectives: knowing, listening, thinking, participating, and enjoying. As we think and discuss together, we can start creating concepts and trigger action, making the world a more accepting society for all. This is what cococolor is all about—a place for us to express our individuality, fashioning a more kaleidoscopic future for all. So let’s get started, here and now….

*cococolor is a play on the Japanese expression “koko kara” meaning, “from here on, from now on.”

Dentsu Diversity Lab (DDL) is a new project, established to trigger various activities that help develop businesses, lifestyles and society to achieve a diversity-rich “Minna no Mirai ™” (Future for All). This companywide organization creates collaboration between Strategy Creative Promotion and various corporate divisions, including Human Resources, General Affairs, Human Rights Education, joining some 100 specialists from various fields within Dentsu and its Group companies. 12色の色鉛筆しか持っていなかった小学4年生の誕生日に、
きれいな木箱に入った36色セットをプレゼントされた時の驚きと喜びを、
私は今でも憶えています。これまでとは全く違う、新しい絵が描けそうな気がしたのです。
この広場は、人間の個性という多彩な色鉛筆を使って、
みんなで、自由に、未来に向けた新しい絵やデザインを描いてみるために生まれました。
あなたも、一本の線から、好きな色で、どうぞ。

A Greeting from the Publisher

Back in fourth grade, surviving on a set of 12 measly colored pencils, I received a new set on my birthday–36 wonderful colors housed in a beautiful wooden case. I can still remember the surprise and joy I felt on that day. I just knew this infusion of cool colors would enable me to draw on a whole new level. Similarly, cococolor was created for everyone to draw new images and designs for the future, using the myriad colored pencils that human diversity provides. So please, pickup any color you like and start sketching!

ぼくは、デンマーク生まれのレゴブロックが大好きです。
等角の中に、丸いスタッド（ポッチ）があるそのちいさなピースは、
規則性のなかにある、柔軟性と多様性を表している気がします。
きっと、これからのダイバーシティ社会は、
新しい市場とルール、そして価値観が生まれるでしょう。
カラフルな生きかたが、ひとつひとつビルディングされて、
平和のpieces of peaceになっていく。
そしてみんなで、2020年に控えた東京での平和の祭典を視座に、
多様性豊かなコミュニケーションで未来に応えましょう！
まだひよこのcococolorですが、
みなさんとごいっしょにダイバーシティの希望をつくっていく場になれば幸いです。

A Greeting from the Chief Editorial Director

I love LEGO® bricks, the little building blocks hailing from Denmark. Those characteristic round studs swimming in a sea of equal angles represent flexibility and diversity in a realm of regularity. I feel confident that, as we develop into a diversity-friendly society, new markets, rules and values will blossom. We will see the construction of colorful lifestyles, with each brick representing “pieces of peace.”The timing is so perfect. With the anticipation of and build-up toward the 2020 Olympic festivities, we have the opportunity to greet the future with diversity-rich communication! cococolor is still in the early stages, still learning to walk. We ask all of you to join us in creating hope through diversity. We look forward to your contributions and collaboration.
